Hi all!
We’re hard at work putting the final touches on Political Arena’s Early Access release. I’ve been spending most of my time debugging so that when we go through our final round of Quality Assurance, our testers don’t waste their time reporting known bugs.
Speaking of bugs, when you’re developing a video game about politics, you come across some hilarious – and sometimes poignant – technical glitches. Depending on your political disposition, the examples below are features, not bugs.
– Democratic lawmakers didn’t take a position on a single policy.
– If the president vetoed a budget agreement, the government remained unfunded forever.
– Political Arena’s cable news channel wouldn’t go away (literally, it froze on the screen).
On that note, we are going to end our open beta as we prepare to enter Early Access. Our automated beta key system has been notoriously wonky, and if you have previously requested a key but never received one, please drop us a note at Support@WaysidePress.co and we’ll handle it ourselves.
Also, we know that as we go from production to release mode, our already meagre outreach will go from annoying to downright unacceptable. So we’re in the search for a community manager. If you know of anyone who might be interested in working part time with us, email Support@WaysidePress.co.
Onward!
– Eliot & The entire Political Arena Team
